Memories of the resorts, old Moodus Center, the mills and more, as you see it
Prior to launching EastHaddamStories.org, local digital media creator Ken Simon regularly shared content exploring East Haddam's rich history on his website, SimonPure.com. Launched way back in the late 1990s (when dial-up was still a thing), the site hosted a blog where people shared personal stories, quirky anecdotes, and heartfelt reflections on the town and its heritage.
The results were a trove of grassroots memories and stories about East Haddam that combined to form a digital scrapbook celebrating the people, places, and moments that shaped the town.
Fast forward to today: We've reimagined the blog for East Haddam Stories and made it easy to explore its content.
